On Stage ... Oh Billy

The RAM is once again displaying a powerful set of faculty scenes.
Here a dress-rehearsal shot for Billy Budd.
I am performing as Leporello in the Sextet excerpt from Don Giovanni.

Styles ... The German Scotsman

My great friend Max works as a Chef de Rang for the Scottish michelin star restaurant Martin Wishart in Edinburgh. He is an avid supporter of all good music. His father surely possesses one of the largest classical CD collections I have ever seen.

Styles ... A Fine Friend

Joe, Countertenor, Composer and Conductor at the RAM. Fantastic Coat. Love the whole look.

Eva Meier

Eva Meier is one of the worlds finest song and chanson singers, reaching international acclaim with her repertoire featuring the likes of Kurt Weill, Hanns Eisler or Paul Dessau.
Students of the Royal Academy received a unique opportunity to perform in a Masterclass with Eva Meier and her Pianist Paul Cibis. Thank you to Richard Stokes, the Royal Academy and of course Eva Meier and Paul Cibis, for putting together this fantastic event.
I have not yet dared to venture into the realm of these songs, but the lyrics, many by the German author Bertolt Brecht, are amongst the most compelling of any song repertoire.
