Snow Brake

Apologies for the lack of posts in the last week.
I spent last week skiing in Switzerland and visiting my Grandparents in Germany, after having completed the last set of Opera Scenes at the RAM. (More pictures to follow shortly).

January has been a rather stressful time and it has been most rewarding to recharge the batteries. Sometimes I find, as a singer, it is important to be able to step away and consolidate what one has learned. The more one performs and rehearses, the more one finds how much is still to be done.

I had a great time last week in Davos Klosters with friends. Davos was once again host to the World Economic Forum, and its diverse programme of reports and discussions featured surprisingly many contributions on the state of the arts and their entanglement with modern economics, as well as a concert by the Lausanne orchestra.
But above all nothing is so inspiring as winter snow and the peaceful calm and freedom of the mountains.
